The November meeting of the Narrow Bay Historical Society will take place on Tuesday 11/22/16 at 7:00 PM at the Mastic Moriches Shirley Library on William Floyd Parkway, downstairs in Room "E".  There will be a presentation by John Krzemien on the history of the Mastic Beach Cannon that quietly "stands guard" over Neighborhood Road from its strategic position on the square.

Visioning Workshop/Public Charrette

The Village of Mastic Beach Visioning Workshop is being held in the cafeteria at Wm. Paca Middle School - 338 Blanco Drive in Mastic Beach on September 24, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We hold the Festival in August at Marina 1. Enjoy fresh steamed shrimp, crabs, crab cakes, clams on the half shell, beer, wine and soda. There will be music and dance performances presented on the show mobile. Children’s activities like face painting and sand art. A large selection of food vendors and arts and crafts items will be on hand. Free admission to all!

Smith Point Triathlon

Smith Point Triathlon

The Smith Point Triathlon starts at Smith Point County Park, with a fast 500 meter Narrow Bay swim and continues on to a flat and fast 16K bike ride over the Smith Point Bridge up William Floyd Parkway and back, followed by a scenic 5K run over the bridge ending at the Atlantic Ocean.

  • Swim:500 Meters
    Swim is a triangular course in Narrow Bay

  • Bike: 9.7 Miles
    The bike is a fast, flat loop over Smith Point Bridge up William Floyd Parkway and back. Bikes allowed: Road bike, time trial, mountain bike or hybrid. (Sorry, no tandem or recumbent bikes!)

  • Run:2.9 Miles
    Run is one scenic, flat loop with a water stop at the 1.5-mile mark

Live music at sunset will be the highlight of “Music by the Bay,” The free-to-the-public family event will take place at Marina 1, July 23rd from 6:00 p.m.–10 p.m. Organized to heighten awareness of the natural beauty of the Mastic Beach.
