Mastic Beach Village Board Announces Data Breach and Related Remedial Actions
Reports Sent to Law-Enforcement Agencies for Further Investigation

Village officials will be discussing information relating to a data breach affecting hundreds of individuals, including certain elected Village officials, candidates for the Village Board, Village employees and Village residents, and the steps being taken to remediate the situation.
For approximately 18 months, the Village’s forensic-IT investigator has been examining potential illegal activities involving the data breach of confidential information. That report has been finalized and, pursuant to the Village’s statutory obligations, written notification to those potentially affected have been released.

Directions: Take William Floyd Parkway (CR 46) south to Havenwood Drive (CVS on corner) and make a left heading east. Havenwood Drive will turn into Neighborhood Road. Continue on Neighborhood Road and make a left onto Alder Drive (near the Village Gazebo) and then make a left into the Village Hall parking lot. Enter through the courtroom door (far right door at back of Village Hall).
